Create Great Moments with Charm Jewelry February 21, 2010
Our mom died from cancer when I was seven. I can vaguely recall her face, nor do I have any remembrance of the moment we were with each other but one thing is crystal clear I will always have her in my spirit for the charm bracelets that she left me and my sister right before she relapsed and got confined at the hospital. These charm bracelets have gotten my sister and I through some sad times. We’ve moved from three neighborhoods and have had starting over moments like no tomorrow but took it all realizing that we had our mother by our side was what made it bearable. We never felt alone as a result of charm bracelets.
Feels not so long ago when I hit another girl in the stomach during my fifth grade because she tried to do away my charm bracelet. Her yucky name has been forgotten by me. She was the token class meanie and I was the new girl, from Houston as part one of our new beginning moves. She spotted my bracelet and smirked where I acquired it from. When I shared it was from my mom she remarked sarcastically that the only reason she wanted to know was because it looked so cheap.
I thought the day couldn’t get any uglier but when break period came the girl attempted the most nasty thing. She sneaked from behind to yank the bracelet from me. She said she was grossed out the look of my charm bracelet so I had to dispose of it, which was right when I decided that I got angry and jabbed her in the nose, twice. Lets just conclude after many different parent teacher conferences my dad rose to my position and backed up my actions. I understand it’s unacceptable to fight with other human beings but giving up this girls charm bracelets was a thing that I could for no reason live without.
